As with cladding systems, Certa roofing and Cladding Ltd can also offer a wide and varied range of rainscreen systems. 

Unlike a wall cladding system, whereby the build up of the system provides the U-value as well as weather defence, a rainscreen system works in a different way.  

Often with a rainscreen system, the weather defence is a sheathing board which is fixed back to the building structure and sealed at joints with an EPDM. The support carrier system which carries the load of the rainscreen is then fixed through the sheathing board and into the steel frame structure. At this stage the insulation and cavity barriers are installed before finally completing the installation with the chosen product.
